LEP light source startup process
Demonstration of the start-up process of Light Emitting Plasma (LEP) light source
The plasma light source consists of a driving power supply, a microwave solid-state source, and an infinite bulb filled with mysterious substances. There are various inert gases and rare metal halides inside the light bulb. Turning on the power, the microwave creates a high-frequency electromagnetic field, ionizing inert gases to form high-density plasma, emitting brilliant blue, green, and purple light. As the plasma continues to heat and excite metal halides, activating atoms and molecules, it releases a full spectrum white light comparable to sunlight.
