The animal breeding lighting series plasma light source (LEP) has a spectrum range of 295nm-1800nm, which is the full-spectrum light source closest to the sunlight spectrum. It has many functions in breeding and animal husbandry, mainly including improving animal production efficiency, promoting health, reducing stress and disease, and optimizing breeding environment management. The LEP light source has high brightness and a color temperature consistent with sunlight, with a CRI of up to 72-92, providing farmed animals with the same comfortable environment as in the daytime sun. The ultraviolet and infrared light of the LEP light source can kill some bacteria and viruses, reduce the incidence of diseases, reduce the risk of infection in animals, improve production safety, and have a positive effect on the immune system of animals.

1.1. Characteristics of LEP spectrum
The animal breeding lighting series LEP light source is a continuous full-spectrum white light with a spectral wavelength range of 295nm-1800nm. It has special advantages in animal breeding lighting that other light sources cannot achieve. The ultraviolet light and infrared light in the LEP light source are the same as sunlight, which can kill some bacteria and viruses, effectively prevent the breeding, aggregation and infestation of pests, keep the breeding environment comfortable and clean, reduce the incidence of diseases, reduce the risk of animal infection, and improve production safety.
LEP is the continuous spectrum closest to sunlight, with a color temperature of 3500K-5000K, invisible light accounting for 30%, visible light accounting for 70%, and the red, green and blue proportions of the visible light part are 41/32/27, which is almost the same as sunlight. The proportion of each wavelength in the spectrum is very close to that of sunlight, see the table below:

LEP light sources all use high-purity quartz bulbs with extremely high light transmittance. They are resistant to high temperatures and can be used for a long time at 1100°C without bursting. Their safety performance is higher than that of ceramic glass bulbs.
With excellent natural heat dissipation performance, the integrated LEP light source (including amplifier, power supply and lamp holder) can keep the temperature as low as 58℃ (room temperature @ 32℃) during long-term operation.
The radiant heat of LEP light source during operation is significantly lower than that of LED.

First of all, LEP light source is the full-spectrum light source closest to sunlight, with high brightness and color temperature consistent with sunlight, providing farmed animals with the same comfortable environment as under daytime sunlight, reducing the stress and anxiety of captive animals caused by dim light, allowing them to forage freely and increase their activity, which helps promote digestion and absorption, and improves vitality and production performance.
Secondly, the ultraviolet and infrared light of the LEP light source can kill some bacteria and viruses, effectively prevent the breeding, aggregation and intrusion of pests, keep the breeding environment comfortable and tidy, reduce the incidence of diseases, reduce the risk of infection for animals, and improve production safety.
In addition, LEP light sources have no flicker, constant color temperature, and uniform illumination, which has a positive effect on the immune system of animals. However, traditional artificial light sources such as LEDs, incandescent lamps, and mercury lamps have flickering effects on the visual systems of humans and animals, causing discomfort and stress reactions.
The power density of the LEP light source of LEP-S-300-V25092-01 reaches above AM1.5 (≥1000W/m2), the irradiation intensity reaches above 1.0Sun, the light energy reaches 32857lm, the light energy efficiency reaches 132lm/w, and the spectrum matching, irradiation stability and irradiation uniformity with sunlight can reach the AAA level of the international standard for solar simulators. After 50,000 hours of continuous use, the luminous flux still remains above 80%.

2.3. Heat dissipation requirements of LEP light sources
A) Power supply cooling
If the LEP power supply is external, the power supply shell itself can meet the heat dissipation requirements. If the power supply is built-in, the heat dissipation must meet the requirement that the temperature rise is less than 35°C under a 25W heat source.
B) Power amplifier heat dissipation
The power amplifier (microwave solid-state source) must meet the requirement that the temperature rise is less than 35°C under an 80W heat source.
C) System cooling
When the ambient temperature is 30°C, the shell temperature of the entire LEP system must be kept below 70°C to meet safety regulations.
